When one opinion just won’t do, I turn to my handy little Large Language Model (LLM) friend.
It’s a new way to create
OpenAI empowers us with the new creative possibilities of Chat GPT and DALL·E engines, a general artificial intelligence system that constructs personalized responses and realistic images and art from a description in natural language.
My creative process
Beginning with poetry, prose, or a random crazy idea, I expand upon original writing with an analysis in Chat GPT, expanding on perspectives, metaphors, and parallel philosophical beliefs that could be related or have influenced my initial work.
Then, I convert the text into prompts for image generation, where I refine until the final image suites with my vision.
Collection: Screams from the Silenced
A collection of generative AI images created from the Dalle 1 engine, in collaboration with my friend Gordon Mouldoon.
After I published a poetry book, “Screams from the Silenced,” focusing on the emotional processing and release following an abusive relationship, Gordon converted the prose into images to further visualize and transmute the experience into something tangible.
Collection: How I Be
Intrigued with the advancements of Generative AI, I further taught myself to interact and prompt the Open AI engines using Chat GPT and Dalle 2.
Using my daily journaling practice as a starting point, I converted text into 420 images to demonstrate the nature of my being as so interpreted by a non-human entity.
Whilst different than much art that I create myself, I enjoyed meeting myself through a new lens.
